丹波篠山城下町、西の玄関口にあたる魚屋町。築100余年、元骨董商を営んでいたという厨子二階建の平屋が、一棟貸しの宿〝八十一〟として生まれ変わりました。石・和紙・竹など自然素材を贅沢に使用した、エレガントな設え。お部屋からは京風の庭園を眺めることができます。丹波らしさ、そして古き良き〝日本〟を感じられる場所となりますよう、〝八十一〟と名付けております。宿に加え、江戸末期より伝承する草木染の木綿布〝丹波布〟をご覧いただけるギャラリー〝蚕糸〟を併設しており、週末はお買い物をおたのしみいただけます。

Uoya-machi as known as “west entrance” locate in the castle town of Tanba-Sasayama. An old traditional Japanese wooden townhouse with a unique mezzanine floor has remained for a hundred years there. We renovated it into a full house rental hotel “Yasoichi”. The elegant interior, the natural materials of stone/Washi/Bamboo, and Kyoto styled private garden from the room window brings you to feel the beauty of Japanese nostalgia. The name “Yasoichi” was named after the country code of Japan 81, with the hope that our guests can feel the essence of Tanba and Japan. In the nextdoor, the gallery “Sanshi” of Tanba textile -the handwoven cotton textile of natural dyeing inherited since the end of Edo period-, will open on weekend.

浴室から、洗面・脱衣場にかけて空間を広めにとっております。十和田石を使った浴槽と、オーバーヘッドシャワー、オーガニックアメニティーをご用意しております。開放感のある窓もあり、リラックスできる空間となっています。

We renovated the room spaciously from the bathroom, washroom to dressing room. The bath time will be relaxing in Towada Rocks bath room with organic amenities, overhead shower and the view from large window only for guests.

幅広いキッチンにはガスコンロが4口ございます。丹波ならではの季節の恵みを買われたのち、宿内でも調理が可能なように、調理器具や、器なども取り揃えております。
松本民芸家具の食器棚に陳列しております器類は、全てご自由にお使い頂けます。

We have prepared the complete kitchen equipment －four gas stoves, cooking tools and selected dishes－for guests to cook in the room. Please feel free to use the dishes on the cupboard of Matsumoto Mingei-kagu.

寝室の壁は、綾部黒谷和紙の職人ハタノワタルさんに施工いただきました。手漉き和紙の壁面となっております。白と黒のコントラストが和紙の表面、裏面を交互に組み合わせて模様を付けており、色の濃淡や和紙の柔らかさを楽しめます。

Wataru Hatano, the Ayabe Kurotani washi paper craftsman, constructed the wall of the bedroom with handmade washi, contrasting white and black by reversing the papers. You can feel the shades of color and the soft texture.

Uoyacho is the western gateway to Tamba Sasayama Castle Town. Built over 100 years ago, the two-story Zushi townhouse used to be an antique dealer. This inn is limited to one group per day and is designed to allow guests to relax, making luxurious use of natural materials such as stone, Japanese paper, and bamboo.
